About Us

One Future Kidney Care strives to provide holistic, personalised, and end-to-end quality treatments with a focus on healthy kidneys for everyone. Led by Dr Wong Weng Kin, a renal physician at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, we provide a wide spectrum of kidney-related treatments.

One Future Kidney Care is a NEHR-enabled kidney specialist clinic. Dr Wong graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and completed his specialist training in internal medicine at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Malaysia. He then obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He completed his advanced specialist training in renal medicine at National University Hospital (NUH) and obtained specialist certification from the Specialists Accreditation Board. He further completed a 1-year fellowship training in vascular access endovascular intervention in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan under the Academic Medicine Development Award.

Dr Wong served as the clinical service director and patient safety officer in the Division of Nephrology, NUH. He also led both the diagnostic and interventional nephrology and glomerular diseases programmes. He was previously the senior consultant nephrologist at NUH and is currently a visiting consultant there.

With more than 15 years of experience, Dr Wong is well-versed in the areas of glomerular diseases, chronic kidney disease, advanced dialysis, diagnostic and interventional nephrology, acute kidney injury and critical care nephrology. He is a strong believer of reshaping future healthcare through health informatics, artificial intelligence and precision medicine. He obtained a certificate in health informatics from the National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Ministry of Health SkillsFuture Study Award for Healthcare Sector and a Singapore Management University (SMU) certificate in artificial intelligence.

Besides his clinical work, he is an adjunct assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. Dr Wong is a founding member of the Society of Dialysis Access Specialists. He is also a member of the Malaysia Medical Association, Singapore Medical Association, Singapore Society of Nephrology and Society of Transplantation (Singapore). He has won a number of institutional and national clinical quality improvement awards, and has multiple research outputs in various fields of nephrology. In recognition of his achievements, Dr Wong was elected as the Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.
